Certifications & Registrations

ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognized standard for quality management systems. It is a framework encompassing all aspects of business operations, from leadership and planning to support and performance evaluation.

Reach certification status

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) compliance is for the manufacturers and importers of chemicals in the EU. Ask us if this chemical complies with regulations and is registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), which aims to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment against harmful substances..

RHEAMID 115 X-70 is a xylene solution of a high viscosity reactive polyamide resin designed for use with solid or liquid epoxy resins for flexible, corrosion resistant thermoset coating applications that cure at room temperature. This resin is also useful in adhesive applications.

RHEAMID 115 X-70 and epoxy resin systems are more solvent and chemical resistant than RHEAMID 100 systems and generally dry faster than RHEAMID 125 systems.

RHEAMID 115 X-70 and epoxy resin systems are recommended for applications such as: Maintenance coating applications and Primers

Mix ratio with 190 EEW liquid epoxy is 149 phr. Due to chemical reaction, RHEAMID 115 X-70 and epoxy resins should not be mixed until just prior to use.

Typical Properties of RHEAMID 115 X-70 Cured Coating
Tack-free time:         4.25 hrs
Through-cure time: 6 hrs
Pot life:                       4 hrs
Gel time                      3.33 hrs

Cured with 190 EEW liquid epoxy resin.

RHEAMID 115 X-75 may absorb moisture and carbon dioxide if left in open containers, which may result in an increased viscosity and some foaming when curing epoxy resins. Therefore, it should be kept in tightly closed containers when not in use and stored in a cool, dry place. Properly stored and protected, an unopened container of RHEAMID 115 X-70 should have a shelf life of two years.

Additional handling information is contained in a material safety data sheet which is available on request.
